Character Training With Kathie The following items are the tools for implementing the ideas that Kathie gives on her "Character" and "Teaching God's Word" tapes.

Bible Reading Award Certificates These certificates are designed to give to your child when he has read through the entire BIble. It is a beautiful document on parchment paper. It has a place for your child's name, and blank Bibles where you record the date each time he reads through the Bible. There is a space to record the Bible through up to 5 times. Character Reward Certificates These are the certificates that Kathie gives at reward time for the child with the most marks for "Excellence in Character". They are printed on card stock in assorted colors. 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" - 5 for $1.00

Character Reward Ribbons These are the ribbons Kathie gives along with the above certificates. They come in 5 different colors (our choice). They make very nice bookmarks (2" x 8").Character Reward Ribbon $.50 each OR 5 for $2.00

Laminated Character Trait Chart Ideal to use as a resource on your refrigerator, or bulletin board. A list of 48 Godly character qualities on a laminated sheet. Character Charts These charts are helpful for encouraging your children to develop Godly character. These are the charts Kathie talks about on her audio tape. She developed them to use with her family and others.

Chart #1 - "Excellence in Character" This chart is used to reward one child each week for demonstrating excellence in character. It has a column on the left to list the qualities you want to focus on. Put the name of each child across the top of the page. Then each time you notice a child demonstrating a particular character quality, put a mark under his or her name for the quality. Have a day and special time each week that you recognize and give out rewards. Choose one quality and see who has the most marks for that quality at the end of the week. We give the winner a certificate and a ribbon . Start over each week and choose a different quality for reward time. [Excellence in Character Chart] 8 1/2" x 11" - $1.00 each

Chart #2 - "Growth in Character" This chart is used by an individual child to chart his/her growth in character over a period of time. On this chart the same character qualities are listed on the left as on the "Excellence" chart, but the quality is followed by several squares which are to be filled in as the child "grows". When he accumulates 5 marks on the "Excellence" chart, then he can fill in a square on the "Growth" chart. This will be an encouragement to you and your child as you watch him grow!
